About
Prior to joining UF Law, Tyler Lattimore served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Colorado. Before becoming an AUSA, Tyler was an associate in the Dallas office of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, where he focused on complex commercial litigation and maintained an active pro bono practice. Tyler also served as a judicial law clerk for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
Before attending law school, Tyler served as a Paralegal Specialist in the Commercial Litigation Branch of the Civil Division at the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C.
Tyler attended The University of Texas School of Law, where he was a student attorney in the Children’s Rights Clinic and Domestic Violence Clinic. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Emory University, where he was an Emory Quest Scholar and Admission Fellow (Diversity Initiative) in the Office of Undergraduate Admission. While at Emory, Tyler studied human rights and economic policymaking through various meetings with both member-state and European Union legislators throughout Europe. He also attended the University of Cape Town, where he spent five months studying the legacy of apartheid South Africa and its impact on the present-day political and economic conditions of the country.
Tyler is a Gainesville native. When he’s not directing the Heirs’ Property Clinic, he enjoys spending time with his wife and fellow attorney, Marley, and exploring all the outdoor activities Gainesville has to offer.
