A graduate of the Duke University School of Law and a member of the law school faculty since 1972, Jeffrey Lewis was named dean of the University of Florida College of Law in 1988. During his eight year-tenure, Lewis strengthened the law school’s ties with the legal community, serving on the Florida Bar’s Committee on Professionalism and its Continuing Education Committee and serving on or chairing numerous law school accreditation inspection teams. He returned to full-time teaching in 1996.
