Tax Moot Court
Course Number: LAW 6930 Credits: 1-2
The Tax Moot Court team competes in multiple tax litigation and transactional competitions around the world. Tax Moot Court provides an opportunity for both JD and LLM students to improve their research, writing, and oral advocacy skills to better prepare them to practice tax law. Members of the team may compete in one of a number of competitions, including the National Tax Moot Court Competition, the Tax Executives Institute Tax Case Competition, or the Iberoamerican Tax Moot Court Competition, among others. Students may receive credit for competing, as well as coaching the competitors and participating in Tax Moot Court leadership. The course is graded on a Satisfactory (S), Unsatisfactory (U) basis. Four credits is the maximum amount allowed for any combination of co-curricular activities, including journals and competition teams.
