MSL Program Area of Study:
Employment Law and Compliance
The Employment Law area of study provides professionals with the legal knowledge and practical skills needed to navigate today’s complex workplace. Designed for human resources professionals, managers, compliance officers, business leaders, consultants, and other employees who deal in human resource or employment issues. This group of classes explores the legal framework governing the employer-employee relationship while emphasizing risk management, regulatory compliance, and effective workplace decision-making.
Students gain a strong foundation in employment law and develop practical skills in conducting workplace investigations, resolving disputes, protecting employee and organizational privacy, and communicating effectively in high-stakes workplace situations. Through an applied curriculum, graduates learn to identify legal risks, promote compliance, and foster fair, ethical, and legally compliant workplaces.
