Financial & Tax Compliance

The MSL Program’s Financial and Tax Compliance concentration equips students with a practical understanding of the regulatory landscape governing today’s financial and business environments. Through coursework designed for non-lawyers, students gain foundational knowledge of federal tax principles, corporate finance regulations, and compliance frameworks that shape organizational decision-making. The curriculum emphasizes real-world application, teaching students how to identify risk, interpret regulatory requirements, and support ethical and legally compliant financial operations. Graduates emerge prepared to contribute meaningfully to compliance teams, financial departments, and business leadership roles where tax literacy and regulatory awareness are essential.

“I entered the MSL program to improve my business acumen involving Tax, Financial Services and Estate Planning, but I have gotten so much more. First, each and every professor has cared about me as a student, and I mean they really care. They have taken the time to know me, share their insights, and ensure my success in the program. The content of the courses has been applicable to my career, and I feel that I have achieved a level of expertise that is noticed by others. As a working professional, I have been able to successfully carry two to 3 courses per semester thanks to the set-up of the program, and I am on course to graduate in just two years”
