Immigration Clinic

The Immigration Law Clinic handles both affirmative and defensive immigration cases, providing holistic representation to individuals navigating U.S. immigration laws. Students assist clients in applying for benefits like asylum, family-based visas, and naturalization, while also defending those facing removal proceedings in Immigration Court. Meeting twice a week for seminars, the clinic combines theoretical learning with practical training through guest speakers, workshops, and exercises. Clinic Students also work with a in house Social Worker to ensure that clients have access to mental health services and other advocacy services. Immigration Clinical Director Juan Caballero teaches the clinic. Clinic students earn 6 credits.
