Class of 2029 Connects and Prepares at Committed Students Welcome Event

The Class of 2029 is already building a strong UF Law community. At the Committed Students Welcome Event last Friday, 60 incoming 1Ls joined in person at the Ultima Morgan & John Morgan Courtroom, with another 50 connecting virtually from across the state and nation. UF Law Admissions, joined by the Career and Student Services teams, warmly welcomed students, sharing important advice and introducing the resources that will support their academic and career success.

With legal recruiting timelines beginning earlier than ever, the Office of Career and Professional Development provided students with early guidance designed to help them get a head start before their first semester begins. Incoming students learned about the resources, advising, and support available to help them explore career paths, navigate opportunities, and prepare for success throughout law school and beyond.

Beyond presentations, the event fostered connections as students mingled during the reception in the Bailey Event Space, exchanging stories and forming relationships that will last throughout law school. With a mix of in-person and virtual engagement, the Class of 2029 is off to a strong start — preparing to learn, grow, and pursue their goals together at UF Law this fall.
