Florida Trial Advocacy “Chompetition”

University of Florida Levin College of Law
The University of Florida Trial Team is excited to announce the Florida Trial Advocacy Chompetition! This competition will allow teams to compete in four guaranteed rounds using the Federal Rules of Evidence with a criminal case. Competitors will serve as both advocates and witnesses. All competition rounds will be held in Gainesville’s Judge Stephan P. Mickle, Sr. Criminal Courthouse. The final awards ceremony will take place at the Levin College of Law. Applications are open until December 14.

Saturday, March 28, 2026
- 9:00 a.m. — Round 1
- 1:30 p.m. — Round 2
Sunday, March 29, 2026
- 9:00 a.m. — Round 3
- 1:30 p.m. — Round 4
- 5:00 p.m. — Awards Ceremony
For teams that are traveling to compete, there is a hotel block available at Hotel Eleo (1514 SW 14th St, Gainesville, FL 32608). The link to book rooms can be found here.
