Heirs’ Property Clinic

The Heirs’ Property Clinic (“HPC”), established in Spring 2025, is directed by Professor Tyler Lattimore and provides students the opportunity to serve and represent low-income individuals and families seeking to solve problems related to heirs’ property. Specifically, students help clients clear or quiet title to heirs’ property, determine clear property ownership, generate sustainable plans for their ancestral lands, and develop reliable estate plans to preserve and effectively transfer real property at death. Students work directly with clients, explore relevant public policy reform, and engage in community outreach, reflection, and education.
