Innovation and Entrepreneurship Clinic

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Clinic, directed by Professor Thinh Nguyen, is designed for students who are interested in working with clients engaged in entrepreneurship and innovation. Our focus is on intellectual property, technology transactions, and legal issues at the cutting edge of technology, with a special focus on artificial intelligence. Clients of the clinic include individual entrepreneurs, artists, researchers, start-ups, and others with legal issues at the intersection of law and technology. Professor Nguyen has 25 years of experience that includes practice in Silicon Valley representing technology-focused clients in a broad range of settings: from Big Law to start-ups and from public companies to non-profits. The unique methodology of this clinic is its emphasis on experiential learning at all stages of practice, whether through the representation of clients or coding AI in Python.

We believe that the best way for students to understand the challenges of clients who build things with technology is to be builders themselves.
