Education Law

Education Law examines the legal and regulatory framework governing schools and districts, including student rights, special education requirements, privacy obligations, and dispute resolution. It is built for teachers, administrators, and district leaders who need to interpret and apply education law with confidence.

Students explore the legal rights and responsibilities of educational stakeholders while developing practical skills in conflict resolution, policy implementation, compliance, and effective communication. Graduates are prepared to address legal and regulatory challenges in K–12 schools, colleges and universities, government agencies, and organizations that support the education sector.

The MSL at UF Law

The Master of Studies in Law (MSL) at the University of Florida Levin College of Law is a fully online, 30-credit graduate degree designed for working professionals who work adjacent to the law but do not intend to practice law.

Whether you’re in compliance, tax, finance, healthcare, estate planning, or another profession that may encounter legal issues, the MSL program provides a solid legal foundation tailored to your profession.

You’ll gain practical knowledge of the legal landscape relevant to your industry—strengthening your decision-making, compliance awareness, and leadership capabilities.
